Why Liposomal?

It’s not just about what you take. It’s about how it’s made.

Waarom liposomaal?

What is a liposome?

A liposome is a microscopic sphere made up of phospholipids—the same fatty molecules that form the membrane of every cell in the human body. When these phospholipids are dispersed in water under the right conditions, they spontaneously fold into a double layer and enclose an aqueous core.

How it's made

Liposomal encapsulation is a formulation process, not a replacement for the raw material itself. The process typically involves dissolving phospholipids (often derived from sunflower or soy lecithin) together with the nutrient in question, after which the mixture is carefully and uniformly processed into uniform, stable vesicles of controlled particle size. The result is a liquid or gel-like delivery format."

When does the encapsulation take place?

In a liposomal formulation, the nutrient is encapsulated in a phospholipid vesicle during production — even before ingestion.

Phospholipids: more than just a shell

Phosphatidylcholine, the primary phospholipid in most liposomal formulations, is itself a naturally occurring component of cell membranes. In a liposomal supplement, it serves a structural role: it forms the vesicle in which the nutrient is enclosed.
